the gravity model

+ the park has more water in it than i think i've ever seen before. the last time it flooded to this extent was when the snow melted in 2006 - this is just due to rain.

+ this is the lowest intensity campaign i've run since my senate by-election win in 2004. i'm campaigning, definitely, but i don't feel the drive or the competition. this is the first time i haven't been able to paint myself as any sort of underdog in any way. people i don't know and have never met recognise my face and name. furthermore, they're happy to talk to me.

+ i have a paper to write, as well, which is similar to my situation last december. however, this is a polisci paper, and it's over a year since i've written one of these straight. i have all of tomorrow plus monday evening. no late papers accepted past 4pm tuesday. i do have to be in class tuesday because i have a presentation to do. that'll be easy, though - globalisation and canadian federalism. that's kinda what i do.

+ i don't expect to write more than 4 more papers as an undergrad, though. that's great. i've been reading about missiles. minuteman, pershing, peacekeeper, trident. ICBMs. titan, redstone. i've also been reading about the companies that make missiles. the honeywell corporation, for example, is famous for thermostats but it also makes missiles. see, there would have been a time between when these missiles were launched and when they actually hit. when everything is still the same in every way but will completely change within an hour. absolutely nothing can be done. the missilues are gone, but they haven't hit yet. it's a grey area. a dead zone.
